Blymhill Sports & Social Club is a friendly, welcoming club for people from Blymhill, Weston-Under-Lizard and the surrounding area. Based at Blymhill & Weston-Under-Lizard Village Hall, the Club brings people together through regular activities, sports and social events throughout the year.
The Club has use of the members’ lounge and bar area at the Village Hall, providing a relaxed place to meet friends and neighbours. The bar offers a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, together with snacks.
Bar Opening Hours
Monday: 7pm–11pm
Tuesday: 7pm–11pm
Wednesday: 7pm–11pm
Thursday: 5.30pm–11pm
Friday: 8pm–11pm
As the bar is staffed by volunteers, it may close earlier on quieter evenings. On Fridays, and for some events, the bar may remain open until midnight.
The bar also opens on selected weekends and for some sporting and special events. Additional opening times are advertised through the Club’s WhatsApp group and Facebook page.
Sports & Activities
There is plenty going on at Blymhill Sports & Social Club. The Club has two full-size snooker tables, a darts board and a full-size table tennis table. Our snooker and darts teams also take part in local leagues.
Short Mat Indoor Bowling takes place every Tuesday evening at 7.30pm, and new players are always welcome.
Book Club meets on the third Monday of every month at 7.30pm and is currently free to attend.
Youth Club meets twice each term, providing regular activities and a place for local young people to get together.
The members’ lounge has Sky Sports & TNT Sports, and selected sporting events are shown throughout the year. Details of additional bar openings for major sporting events are advertised on Facebook and through the Club’s WhatsApp group.
Social Events & Community Activities
Throughout the year, Blymhill Sports & Social Club organises a varied programme of social and community events. These include film nights, wine tasting, afternoon teas, quiz and music evenings, Blymhill Bites, walks and barbecues, craft activities, seasonal events and family activities.
Annual favourites include the Easter treasure hunt, Christmas wreath making, the children’s Christmas party and our Christmas pantomime. We also hold other one-off events throughout the year.

Blymhill Sports & Social Club Membership
New members are always welcome at Blymhill Sports & Social Club.
Household membership is currently just £15 per year and covers all adults and children under 18 living at the same address. The membership year runs from 1 October to 30 September.
Household membership is free where at least one adult member is aged 80 or over, although membership still needs to be renewed each year.
